The trademark "Proven in the tropics" will be awarded to technologies and products that will prove themselves in the demanding conditions of the hot, humid and rainy climate of Papua New Guinea, where a research center founded by prof. Vojtěch Novotný has been operating for more than 20 years. However, all researchers at the Biological Centre CAS (BC) who are interested in testing the pre-arranged products during their research expeditions in other tropical destinations are welcome to participate.
The BC Technology Transfer Office (TTO) ensures communication with interested parties from among companies that want to verify the properties of their products in extreme conditions. In cooperation with each other and with BC researchers, the TTO sets the criteria for the evaluation and subsequent award of the trademark.
